St. Thomas Leadership
The Rev.
Julian Borda
Rector of St. Thomas
Father Julian Borda is St. Thomas’ priest. Fr. Julian is a native of Dallas who has also, over the years, lived in Houston, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Oxford, England. A lifelong Episcopalian, he received a calling to the priesthood at age 14, while training to become a summer camp counselor at Camp Allen in Navasota, Texas. Ever since, he has been passionate about preaching the Gospel, pastoring a flock, and studying theology.
Fr. Julian has a BA in History from the University of Chicago and a BA in Theology and Religion from Wycliffe Hall at the University of Oxford, as well as a Certificate of Anglican Studies from Wycliffe College in Toronto. He was ordained a deacon on October 23, 2021 and a priest on June 4, 2022 by Bishop George Sumner. Prior to joining St. Thomas, Fr. Julian served as Curate (Priest-in-Training) at St. Paul Episcopal Church in Waxahachie.
Fr. Julian is newly married to Kayla, a Kentucky native. In his free time, he enjoys piano, croquet, classic films, and reading fiction and biographies. He very much looks forward to getting to know you!

Our Vestry
In the Episcopal Church, each church has an elected council called a Vestry. The Vestry is central to the mission of the church: it manages the church’s finances, acts as the agent and legal representative of the church regarding its corporate property, selects a new priest in the event of a vacancy, maintains the church facilities, and in various ways, assists the Rector in his ministry. St. Thomas is blessed with an experienced and committed Vestry that meets every second Wednesday at 5 pm to work for God’s Kingdom. Hallelujah!
